UPDATE:   DO NOT USE SMARTSHEET UNTIL THEY GET THEIR SYSTEM FIGURED OUT.    ITS BEEN VERY VERY UNRELIABLE LATELY AND I CANT VOUCH FOR THEM.

At McFarland Engineering we utilize a collaborative tool you may not have heard of: www.smartsheets.com. Its powerful, easy to use and a great enhancement to our external collaboration.

As a longtime Excel user, I have been thrilled with some of the power features of Smartsheet.   There are integrations not possible with excel.   There are outside collaborations available which enable clients or outside users to interact with your Smartsheets.   There are Gant charts available and project scheduling at the click of a mouse.

Check out Smartsheet.com.   Its relatively inexpensive and very worth considering if you use Excel for job tasks and organization.
